Lakes in and around upstate NY are aplenty.. Here’s one such lake on a late Fall afternoon.. Yes, the summer is approaching but I found this one going through my archives and just had to upload it..

It is turning out that Sunsets are one of my most favorite things to photograph lately… North Carolina’s Outerbanks gave yet me another chance to engage in this favorite type of picture…. I literally pulled over on the side of the road as soon as I could, when I saw this ball of gold and took a walk for a quarter of a mile backwards to compose this perfection…!

Most of our childhood memories at an amusement park mean Ferris wheels, cotton candy and lots and lots of rides… Here is the classic Ferris wheel on a beautiful sunny summer day!

By the time winter ended, a trip to the NJ shoreline was a must! This lonely winter-torn tree was screaming for my attention at the edge of the bay at Sandy Hook..  I couldn’t resist converting it to a b/w image to bring out the loneliness and the feeling of a bare winter gone-by.

The original was shot in color and at a f8 / ISO 200 this image stands out..

Here’s welcoming Spring 2012.!!  The flowers are blooming out in the yard and everyone is enjoying this early start to the summer weather already!

On a bright and sunny afternoon, this composition was captured at a 100mm focal length on ISO 100 and f11.

Hudson River and Sailboats – these are two things that enlighten the warm days in the NY region… One cannot walk away from the Hudson without seeing at least a few of these. It was on one such day I snapped this shot after a long afternoon walking around various parts of NYC.  I set my Tamron 18-200 at its maximum 200 mm and used a “who cares” F7.1 on this image. I later converted it into a B/w image to bring out the lovely sails on this one!

Passing through villages and rural roads have so many interesting subjects to the photographer in me! This old bullock cart sitting at the edge of this farmland just was waiting to be clicked!

On this lovely bright day, I adjusted my camera to a who cares aperture of F11 and at ISO 200.

Entry-way arches and pillars of old castles carry so many stories – relayed and untold… The mystery that surrounds of the lives that were – just makes me want to remain here and go back in time to experience the times…

Here on the left, I captured the entrance arches of a section of a castle inside the red fort.

The second image, is that of the long hallway inside the area surrounding the wonderous Taj Mahal!

Old architecture in the capital of India is full of tombs and castles.  Humayun – the father of Akbar, a Mughal Emperor who made quite an impact on the history of India is laid to rest in one such structure known as Humayun’s Tomb.

I captured this entryway into the tomb’s building. The entire area is adorned with lush green gardens. I loved capturing the symmetry in this image, that these structures are so famous for!

More Castle pillars.. One  can only imagine the princes and princesses that lived in these castles.. Centuries ago, these castles were adorned by jewels and gold.  I shot this at one of the forts inside the complex of the Red Fort in the capital city of Delhi, India.
